Photographers for Good Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that was formed in 2012 by its founder Ivan Makarov.
The purpose of the Foundation is to provide a platform for photographers to give back through their art. Here is what we did and are doing right now.
Early in 2012 we published Plus One Collection, a collection of photographs from an online community of photographers on Google+. The book is now on sale, and all proceeds from the sale of the book and ebook go to Kiva.
The next volume of Plus One Collection was published in the spring of 2013, and the book is currently on sale. That year's proceeds will benefit children in Kenya supported through The Kilgoris Project. We are raising funds to buy digital cameras so they can start documenting their daily lives and their world.
The third volume of Plus One Collection is titled "Our World" and will ship towards the end of 2014. With the book, we are supporting Save Eliza Foundation whose purpose is to find the cure for Sanfilippo decease.
Also, in the fall of 2012 we launched Plus One Magazine, an online community publication with photographs and articles from our community. The proceeds from the first issue of the magazine benefited The Kilgoris Project.
From time to time, we also hold various charity print sales. You can see the current one under "Charity Print Sales" section of this website.
Stay tuned for more projects by our foundation and please get involved!
